Very First Post!

SO excited to be starting this blog! I have wanted to do this for a very long time and finally got the guts to do it! I guess let me start off by telling you a little about myself. My name is Kelly and I am 27 years old. I have been married to my husband Bill for a little over 2 years and we have an AMAZING, precious, perfect, little 15 month old daughter named Ashley. She is absolutely the light of my life and really is the inspiration of this blog.
I love to cook and bake. I must admit, I am a better baker then cook, but I am getting better and better by the meal. I LOVE my crock pot. I use it probably 3-5 times a week. It is SO easy to throw some ingredients in the pot, turn it on and forget it for about 6 hours then out comes this delicious meal that tastes like I spent hours slaving over the stove! I really enjoy baking breads, cupcakes, cakes, really anything. I must say, I am good at those!
Another thing on my love list is Pinterest!!! On long days when I just want to relax and after Ashley has gone to sleep there is nothing I look forward to more than snuggling on the couch with a nice glass of red wine and indulging in a little Pinterest! I never thought I was “crafty” until I had Ashley. It all came to be when I was spending ridiculous amounts of money on boutique style hair bows. I was at a craft fair and began talking to a woman who had made these incredible bows. I asked her “How in the world did you learn how to do this!?” She leaned in close and whispered “YouTube!” I was astonished. So I figured I would give it a try and maybe save some money which would make my hubby happy in the process (Bonus!). So I bought a few spools of ribbon and went home to try it out. Much to my disbelief I was GOOD at it!! I made beautiful bows that I loved Ashley to wear. That was the beginning of my “crafty-ness”. When I found pinterest it was like I had just discovered the greatest thing ever invented (which let’s be serious, it is!) I learned how to make such beautiful things. I made a gorgeous Halloween wreath, got tons of recipes, and am currently in the process of making some pretty awesome Christmas gifts, of which I would love to post pictures, but can’t until after Christmas!
So that is pretty much me in a nutshell! I invite all of you to join me on this journey as I live my life as a Mommy, a wife, a sister, a friend, and most importantly go from being the Princess to Queen!!!!
xoxo-Kelly
